-Reduce excess inventory of $45M to $24M.


Task:

-Root Cause Analysis and changing purchasing protocols to reduce excess inventory. Overhaul the ordering process to address errors and restore trust.


Action:

-Negotiate new rates and terms with suppliers

-Value Stream Mapping exposed disconnect between departments.

-Created Kaizen events to expose weaknesses in the process and solutions to address them.

-Collaborated with cross-functional teams to redesign and implement a more reliable process.


Result:

-Reduced excess inventory by $5M in Q4 2022 through the implementation of the overhauled software system.

-Achieved a consistent monthly reduction of $2M in inventory, thereafter, leading to improved financial efficiency and inventory management.
